How I handle your details.

The enquiry form asks for your name, your business and your number. Here's exactly what happens to them — short version, because there isn't a long one.

• Who

  Whinstone Studio, Dundee. Email hello@whinstonestudio.com.

• What I collect

  Your name, your business name, your phone number, your email if you give it, and whatever you type in the form.

• Why

  To ring you back and answer your enquiry, and to do the work if you become a client.

• The legal basis

  Legitimate interests — you asked, I answer. And if you go ahead, the steps needed before a contract.

• Who else sees it

  Tally, which runs the form. Cloudflare, which hosts the site. Zoho, which handles the email. Nobody else.

  Tally stores the form data in Europe. Cloudflare runs a worldwide network, and anything that leaves the UK is covered by the safeguards it signs up to under UK data-transfer rules.

• How long I keep it

  Twelve months from our last contact if nothing comes of it, then deleted. Longer if you become a client — for as long as I'm doing your work.

• What I don't do

  No marketing list. Nothing sold or shared. No newsletter — the form already says so.

• Your rights

  Ask me by email for a copy of what I hold, a correction, or deletion — or object to my using it at all.

• Complaints

  If you're not happy with how I've handled your details, you can complain to the ICO at ico.org.uk.
